Many people know the pain of a lot of homework. You've worked on assignments, taken notes, and listened intently all week. You're ready for a break as you get on the bus to go home, but your stomach drops to your feet as you realize you have homework. A lot of it. On a Friday. You lift your backpack, which consists of; a binder, two textbooks, a laptop, and a lunch. The bus stops at your house and you struggle off the bus and into the house. As you read your assignments for the weekend, you sigh. Two assignments for History, a test for English, multiple work pages for Algebra, and an essay for Science. Now you have to stay up all night, with your only break being dinner. The question we're all asking is; is there too much? The average homework load per class per day for a high school student in the U.S. is at least one assignment per class, most students having up to eight classes a day.
